French embroidery of naval ship BURON EDMOND dated 1914-16

£ 360.00

54 x 50 // 1ft. 9" x 1ft 7"

Th origin of this remarkable silk embroidery is unaccounted. It is suspected of being an oriental commission possibly Japan who were allied in WWI. Hong Kong was a place where souvenir commissions was made for British armed forces in WWI but this has no relation to Chinese embroidery
